Borgo Macereto - Il Borgo IGT Pinot Noir 2020

Grapes : 100% Pinot Noir
Vinification : The harvest is carried out manually with careful selection in the field. After destemming and pressing using a peristaltic pump, the grapes are transferred to a truncated cone-shaped French oak tank where the Pinot Noir is vinified at a controlled temperature of 28°C.

Aging : After malolactic fermentation, the wines are aged in first and second passage French oak tonneaux and barriques for approximately 12 months at controlled temperatures. Subsequently, the wine is transferred to steel tanks before bottling. This is followed by further refinement in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months.
Alcohol : 14%
Aging potential : 18-22 years

Il Borgo is an IGT Tuscany red wine produced by the Borgo Macereto company. It is a tribute to the Pinot Noir vine, which has found great adaptability and a peculiar identity in the Mugello region. This wine has a delicate purple color. On the nose, it offers a bouquet of complex aromas that include cherry, leather, white chocolate and blackberry. On the palate, it is soft and delicate, with a balanced structure that makes tasting pleasant.
